Burritt Museum Guild

The Burritt Museum Guild has been the Museum's primary volunteer force for more than a quarter of a century. Enthusiastic Guild members help the museum by welcoming visitors and providing information about the special exhibits, as well as the antiques and the life of Dr. Burritt. In addition, members volunteer in Josie's, the Living History Park, help with the Nature Trails, Education programs, special projects, concerts, dinners, and festivals.Members of the Guild invite you to join them at their next meeting and discover how you can become involved. Guild meetings are generally held on the 4th Monday of each month.  Changes may be made due to holidays.   Please check the calendar for verification.  Following a short business meeting, members are treated to a lesson about an exhibit, a guest speaker and/or enjoy working together on a seasonal project to benefit the museum. City Lights and Stars featuring Phil Weaver & Friends

PhilThrough the City Lights and Stars Concert series, Burritt on the Mountain continues to bring world class musicians to the Huntsville community at affordable prices. Burritt is pleased to announce that on June 14th at 7:30, the City Lights and Stars series will feature Phil Weaver and friends. This concert is sponsored by AEgis Technologies and the series is sponsored by Redstone Federal Credit Union.

Twenty years ago City Lights and Stars began as a solo classical guitar concert by Phil Weaver. For this 20th anniversary celebration concert Phil will be joined by some of the finest performers he has worked with, creating a cabaret-style show. Making his first appearance at City Lights is storyteller Bruce Walker, who tours nationally and has been heard on NPR. Also new to the series is virtuoso flutist Rosa Vidro Richardson, who performs with the Huntsville Symphony. Pianist Ingrid von Spakovsky and blues guitarist Microwave Dave Gallaher will also be on hand for this celebratory concert.
