1st Annual Turkey Pardon

November 25 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

$4 – $10

Kick off your Thanksgiving Break at Burritt by celebrating the beautiful Wild Turkey.

Come celebrate the beautiful Wild Turkey. Join Special guests Dingo of 102.1 WDRM Morning Show, District 2 Council Member Frances Akridge and DJ Steve Metz of Metropolitan Disc Jockey. Join Mr. Tom Turkey for a Turkey Trot Parade around Burritt Green and Historic Park. Enjoy hot chocolate, a holiday snack and turkey themed crafts.

For years, it has fallen on the President of the United States to “pardon” a specially selected turkey, ensuring it can live out a long and happy life far from the family table. This year District 2 Council Member Frances Akridge, will do the honors for Huntsville and “pardon” 2 very special turkeys visiting from Step By Step Petting Zoo.

The official pardon will take place at 12pm.

Bring a chair or blanket, enjoy The View of the City and Burritt’s large open Green. Flags will be placed in the ground to help groups with social distancing. Grab the whole family, head up to the Mountain and share in our newest tradition at Burritt.

Dominos Pizza will be onsite with Pizza and drinks for purchase.
