Burritt on the Mountain in collaboration with Huntsville Traditional Music Association are happy to announce the return of the Coffeehouse Series. Burritt in collaboration with Huntsville Traditional Music Association, bring monthly Outdoor Coffeehouse Concerts. March – September, HTMA will bring a variety of musicians to the Isenberg Gazebo at Burritt. Coffeehouses start at 7pm, Gates open at 6pm.

Cash bar and light snacks, along with a limited number of charcuterie boxes will be available for purchase. Charcuterie boxes are $30 and feeds 2-4 people.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children are FREE

Online advanced ticket sales end at noon the day of the event.

In the event of rain, concerts will be moved to the new Bendickson Family Pavilion at Burritt.

If the concert must be cancelled due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control, ticket purchases will be considered a tax-deductible donation to Burritt on the Mountain. Ticket purchasers will be notified of cancellations by email.

HTMA member Opener: Steve Edmondson

Steve Edmondson is an HTMA member who enjoys fingerpicking old-time country / folk blues while relaxing on his front porch. This style of music is characterized by a thumping base for rhythm while the melody is picked on treble strings with fingertips. Vocals and guitar melody are often played at the same time, with little in the way of strumming, similar to the stylings of Mississippi John Hurt.

Comprised of members Rick Taylor, Blaine Anderson, Phil Easterbrook, Tony Robertson, and Joseph Brown, the Walker Street Opry produces a sound that rings with the haunting familiarity of traditional bluegrass music while still fitting comfortably with today’s contemporary bluegrass and Americana roots-style music. The Walker Street Opry’s tight, driving rhythms, evocative harmonies, unique musical arrangements, and accomplished instrumental skills, combine to create an overall entity of exceptional talent. The Walker Street Opry has a wide repertoire of music that also includes some classic country as well as original songs and instrumentals that can stand up notably to legendary bluegrass songs.
