Join us for Birding at Burritt as we chase away the winter blahs. Our fun-filled day of bird-watching includes a falconer demonstration, Audubon Society-led hikes, and a special Bird Encounter nature program. Birding at Burritt runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on January 23, 2021. This event is included in general admission and is free for Burritt members. Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate.

Learn about the art of Falconry. Watch an exciting hawk and kestrel flying demonstration and the up close landing on the falconer’s hand.
Audubon Bird Watching Hike on Trail: 11am-12:30pm AND REPEATED 2:15-3:45pm. This moderate hike is for all ages. Must be able to maneuver stairs.
Birding 101: This beginner birding hike includes techniques for using binoculars and quick tips for spotting and identifying birds. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars.
Tommy Howell Bird Encounter Nature Program 1:00-2:00pm
Come enjoy Tommy’s “Beauties from the Sky” program. This outstanding collection of unusual birds will impress you! This fun and educational outing will fascinate the entire family. Seating is limited, and it is a first come first served basis. The doors open at 12:45, and no one will be seated after the show begins.
