Experience fall break to the fullest — attend Burritt’s BIG Adventure! This camp is not just about learning but is a fun-filled adventure for all. Campers will enjoy the great outdoors as they hike our forested nature trails, learn about life in the 1800s, see and do folk arts and traditional skills, and visit our wonderful barnyard. This sampling of everything Burritt has to offer wouldn’t be complete without a special visit to our new Rosenwald Schoolhouse! Here, campers will experience what school was like in the early 1900s, including using a slate and chalk, basket weaving as a vocational skill, and playing games from the time period. Round out this fun adventure with lots of fresh air and open spaces to play games, enjoy our playgrounds, and make cool crafts.
Each day, campers will be led by our trained, CPR-certified staff and will receive plenty of individualized attention due to our low teacher to camper ratio of 1:15. Camp days run from 9:00 to 2:00. Students should bring their own sack lunch, but Burritt will provide a snack each day. You may also choose to register for our extended day options with drop-off available as early as 7:45 a.m. and pickup as late as 5:30 p.m. The cost for each day of extended day is an additional $5 each day for morning only, an additional $10 each day for afternoon only, or $15 each day for both morning and afternoon.
To better fit busy families’ schedules, we offer three attendance options. Campers may join us for all five days (2nd – 6th) at a cost of $155 for members and $165 for nonmembers. Can’t make it for the whole week? Come to camp Monday through Wednesday (2nd – 4th) at $93 for members and $99 for nonmembers, or come Thursday and Friday (5th – 6th) at $62 for members and $66 for nonmembers. Registrations and payment must be received by Tuesday September 26th. Contact Alice Kirsch at email@example.com or 256-512-0148 for assistance in registration.
