Title: Fiber Arts: “Felted Spring Flower”
Deadline to Register: April 14 at 5:00 pm
Description: Come create a lovely three dimensional spring flower! Felting from wool is one of the oldest known textile crafts. In this class, students will make their own unique felted flower from wool and learn multiple techniques including wet felting, nuno felting, and needle felting.
Instructor: Jackie Miller was born into a family of Italian hardware merchants in Albany, NY. She started her wholesale business in 1984 and has completed special studies at Webster School of Design in metalsmithing, Arrowmont School in various media, and annual seminars through Manufacturing Jewelers and Silversmiths of America, Inc. Jackie has won awards in juried fine arts, and fine craft shows across the country. In 1997 Jackie received QVC’s Best of Show award for her Storybook Angel pin© and continued to sell her jewelry on QVC for six years.
Supplies and Attire: Students should wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing that they do not mind getting dirty or getting dye on. All materials and supplies will be provided.

Supply Fee: $16.00
Level: Multi-Level. This is a great beginner class, as well as, a prerequisite for one of Elesa’s intermediate projects/classes.
Important Information: Registering for a workshop indicates that the student is 19 years of age or older and understands that photographs/video may be taken during the event and their image may be used on Burritt on the Mountain’s website and social media outlets or other promotional materials. Registration also indicates that the student releases Burritt on the Mountain and the City of Huntsville, all their directors, employees, volunteers, and any persons associated with Burritt on the Mountain, from any liability for any bodily injury and/or property damage suffered by the attendee as a result of actives during the educational program.
Cancelation Policy: Students that cancel 14 days prior to the date of the class will be eligible for a full refund. Students that cancel 7 days prior to the date of the class will be eligible for a 50% refund. If student cancels 6 days or less prior to the date of the class no refund will be issued.
