Gardening: “Hypertufa and Papercrete Pots”
Description: In this two hour workshop, students will learn how to make these lightweight and very durable papercrete vessels using 60-75% recycled newspaper. We’ll talk about different styles and recipe mixtures, as well as, make a vessel for students to take home. We will then discuss different techniques and recipes for hyper tufa pots and get our hands in the mix in order to make our own vessel.

Supplies and Attire: All materials and supplies will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Important Information: Registering for a workshop indicates that the student is 19 years of age or older and understands that photographs/video may be taken during the event and their image may be used on Burritt on the Mountain’s website and social media outlets or other promotional materials. Registration also indicates that the student releases Burritt on the Mountain and the City of Huntsville, all their directors, employees, volunteers, and any persons associated with Burritt on the Mountain, from any liability for any bodily injury and/or property damage suffered by the attendee as a result of actives during the educational program.
Cancelation Policy: Students that cancel 14 days prior to the date of the class will be eligible for a full refund. Students that cancel 7 days prior to the date of the class will be eligible for a 50% refund. If student cancels 6 days or less prior to the date of the class no refund will be issued.
