Burritt on the Mountain, in partnership with The Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation (MDMEF), is offering another education lesson in our “Melodies on the Mountain” series: “Good Vibrations – The Relationship Between Science and Music”
Burritt and The MDMEF are excited to announce Daniel Adamek will be the artist preforming at our next Melodies on the Mountain. Daniel was a guitar player in the 3rd Armored Division Band for the US Army and has worked in Huntsville aerospace industries as a scientist and engineer for 19 years. He is a mentor for the NASA Explorer Schools program, working with elementary and middle school students to fly their experiments under NASA’s Zero G program. Daniel will conduct and perform an engaging lesson about the science of fashioning sound and harmony.Burritt on the Mountain educators will lead students in creating a musical themed craft after the performance. Come ready to participate as you learn from Daniel Adamek and enjoy Burritt’s amazing view of the valley.
Limited tickets are available for this program which is designed for students ages 5 and up. All students must be accompanied by an adult and the cost is $8 for Burritt members and $12 for nonmembers. Participants are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch and visit the museum grounds after the program. Registration closes Sunday April 18, 2021 @ midnight. This program will take place outside with social distancing guidelines in place. All visitors are encouraged to wear masks during the performance and masks are mandatory when you are inside buildings or within 6 feet of other visitors, volunteers or staff members.
