Little Bo Peep, Peter Rabbit, and Little Boy Blue from our Whimsical Woods are back to help us celebrate Farm Day at Burritt on the Mountain Saturday June 27 from 10am-4pm. Join us as we learn about historic farm life in Alabama as you visit our barnyard animals, experience historic skills, wash wool, and observe wool being spun into yarn. See our blacksmiths in action and play with old-fashioned toys. Come listen to “Over on the Farm” story and create you very own finger puppets. Meet Farmer Bill learn about the garden and see some of our antique farm equipment. You will leave with a new appreciation for modern conveniences after as you learn about chores such as rug beating, and butter churning!
We will also have some toe tapping music throughout the park. Don’t forget the fun you will have looking for all the magical animals that are part of our new Whimsical Woods Flip Flopped adventure in the historic park.
