Title: Tinsmithing: “Spring Light”
Description: In this three day workshop, students will learn basics of pattern use, reproducing a lantern or other tin items from an actual artifact, plan lay-out, cutting, soldering to make historic tin items such as lanterns, holiday decorations, sconces, candle holders, etc. This class is for beginners as well as those who already have some experience. Students will have a choice of using 18th or 19th century tools to create their masterpieces!
Instructor: Pat McMillion is an award-winning teacher (retired) who was hooked on tinsmithing from her very first class with Harry Kruppenbach and Clinton Pitts in 2003.
