An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Tuesday, repeating until September 17, 2019
Class Title: Two Dimensional Arts: “Let’s Get Drawing”
Deadline to Register: September 3rd at 5:00pm
Description: During this two night workshop you will advance well beyond stick figures! Students will learn to draw from the part of their brain that enables them to draw what they see. For many people this is not easy but it can be done! Everyone can draw and we’ll make it fun! As a result of this class you will not only be able to learn the basics of drawing, but will learn to see far more than what already catches your eye!
Instructor: Raised on the plains of Western Kansas, Dennis Fakes realized at an early age that he had a knack for drawing. From drawing came oil painting, pen and ink, acrylic, and other mediums. He felt called into the ministry as a Lutheran pastor and for 40 years pursued this calling until he retired in 2014. It was then he picked up again his calling in art – especially watercolor. Watercolor has been his passion since then and in 2016 he picked up acrylic again and has been learning all he can about this medium. Dennis has successfully taught watercolor through the Huntsville Art League.
Supplies and Attire: All materials and supplies will be provided.
Time: Tuesday, September 10 (6:00pm-8:30pm) AND Tuesday, September 17 (6:00pm-8:30pm)
