Saturday August 21 10am-4pm
Join volunteers from the League of Women Voters and Burritt staff members for a day commemorating the 101st anniversary of women getting the right to vote in the USA. Multiple mini-exhibits will be viewable throughout our historic park and staffed with knowledgeable presenters who can answer your questions and provide more information. Go back in time to meet famous suffragettes Susan B. Anthony, Ida B. Wells, and Harriet Tubman, through the magic of talented volunteers taking on their personas. Stop by the photo op and become a suffragist yourself, vote in the 1920 Presidential election, then try your hand at the US Citizenship test. Children will also enjoy hands-on crafts, our Barnyard election, and our GeoQuest activities.
Regular Burritt admission rates apply and FREE to our Burritt members. Not a member, Become a Member today!
