Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Burritt on the Mountain has cancelled our Groundhog Day celebration scheduled for this Sunday, January 29th. This year we will defer to Punxsutawney Phil for his weather prediction. We look forward to seeing you on the Mountain this Spring for all we have in store. On February 2, 1887, Groundhog Day was celebrated for the first time at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Groundhog Day is a day to take everything a little less seriously and break up the winter monotony.
