From 11:00 am -3:00 p.m.\, visitors can see how this fast‑growing plant can be transformed into sturdy\, beautiful fiber art. Contrary to it’s much maligned reputation in the Southern US\,  Kudzu has long been valued not only as a natural fiber source but also for its many uses in food and herbal medicine. Stop by to learn more about this versatile vine and watch a basket take shape right before your eyes.  Free with admission.

DESCRIPTION:Deadline to Register: July 25th at 5:00pm \nTitle: Glass: “Fused Glass Suncatchers” \nDescription:  Join us for a fun Glass Fusing project! You will be making 2 Suncatchers in the design of your choice. We will walk you through each step\, giving you tricks and tips on how to use our glass fusing materials and tools along the way. Once completed the projects will be fired and ready for pick-up a week after the class. \nInstructor: Cate Woodall is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a visual arts degree specializing in ceramics. She has taught hand-building clay and pottery painting classes as well as glass fusing for several years. She enjoys helping people find a stress free outlet for their creativity. \n Supplies and Attire: All materials and supplies will be provided. \nTime: Saturday\, August 1\, 2026 (1:00pm-4:00pm): \nTuition: $50.00 \nSupply Fee: $20.00 \nLevel: Beginner \n~~~~~~ \nImportant Information: Registering for a workshop indicates that the student is 19 years of age or older and understands that photographs/video may be taken during the event and their image may be used on Burritt on the Mountain’s website and social media outlets or other promotional materials. Registration also indicates that the student releases Burritt on the Mountain and the City of Huntsville\, all their directors\, employees\, volunteers\, and any persons associated with Burritt on the Mountain\, from any liability for any bodily injury and/or property damage suffered by the attendee as a result of activities during the educational program. \nCancellation Policy:  Our workshops take a great deal of advanced planning and purchasing of supplies. 25% of all ticket purchases are a non-refundable deposit. Students cancelling 30 days or more prior to the date of the class will be eligible for a refund\, minus the non-refundable deposit. No refunds will be issued less than 30 days from the start date of a class.*  To be fair and consistent\, there can be no exceptions to this policy\, regardless the reason a cancellation is requested. \nThank you for understanding that this policy is in place to protect our artist instructors who spend time\, energy\, and money to create an amazing learning experience.  \n*We require a minimum number of students to hold a class. If this minimum is not met\, the class may be cancelled or rescheduled. In this case\, a full refund will be offered.
