DESCRIPTION:Deadline to Register: September 9th at 5:00pm \nTitle: Weekday Series: “Twinkle\, Twinkle Little Star” \nDescription:  This sturdy star is a fun challenge to construct and is appropriate for both beginners and intermediates in glass.  The clear\, iridized glass and the 360degree swivel keeps it twinkling\, sparkling and turning with the slightest breeze or touch. \nThis star was designed to fit in the stand which will be made in the Blacksmithing class in October. DESCRIPTION:Deadline to Register: May 13th\, 2025 at 5:00pm \nWorkshop: Weekday Series: “Grilling Tools” \nDescription: This class will focus on several basic forging fundamentals.  Using the forge\, anvil\, and basic hand tools and techniques\, students will forge a spatula\, and a steak turner. The class will focus on hammer control using full\, and half face blows\, to taper\, draw\, bend\, and rivet. \nPlease note: There will be a lunch break of approximately one hour. Please bring a lunch from home or plan to drive a short distance and return within an hour. \nInstructor: Al Stephens has recently retired having been a professional blacksmithing since 1992. He is a member of the Athens Forge chapter of the Alabama Forge Council. Al has taught classes for Burritt on the Mountain and Athens State University and demonstrated at local blacksmithing meetings. He is a member of the Alabama Forge Council.
