Photography Policy
While we are happy to share our beautiful location with everyone and welcome photography sessions, we ask that you follow our guidelines and procedures to make everyone’s experience at Burritt on the Mountain enjoyable.
- Please call the gift shop at 256-536-2882 to plan your session. We have special events, field trips and rentals that will need to be scheduled around.
- We do not have private changing rooms; however, we do have public bathrooms available.
- Photographs are allowed throughout the site, but access to inside the mansion and historic park cabins is not permitted.
- Photo sessions are not allowed on days we have weddings, this includes Saturdays, unless we do not have an event.
- The use of drone photography is restricted.
Prices
- Photo sessions are allowed during operating hours, and you must be off premises by time of closing. (Hours vary seasonally.)
- Fee is $75 for up to 6 people, including photographer. Additional people are $10 each.
After-Hours Photography/Proposals/Photo Sessions Using Props
- If you wish to bring in props for photos, have after-hours sessions or plan a proposal, please contact Toni Wessells to book your time. wessells@huntsvilleal.gov or 256-650-4719.
- Fee is $300 for 2 hours and includes staff member to be on site to lock up.
- Booking of after-hours sessions are dependent on availability of staff.
Pet Policy
As much as we at Burritt love animals, we do not allow pets on site due to the safety of our Barnyard Buddies.
Accessibility at Burritt
Burritt is ADA accessible. We have two wheelchairs available onsite should you need one. You can even call and we are happy to reserve one for you. There is a fair amount of walking at Burritt, but there are benches at every cabin you may rest on and enjoy the sites and sounds.
