Calling Huntsville “Hometown”, Huntsville’s In the Mood is an exciting 21 piece big band. Specializing in swing and jazz making every occasion an exciting event. Influences include Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Henry Mancini, Cole Porter Bobby Darrin, Ella Fitzgerald and Count Basie. Bring your chair, blanket and picnic to enjoy the evening. Music on the Mountain Sunday, September 15th 12:30pm – 4:30pm Enjoy some old-time favorites as you wander through our Historic Park and listen to musicians share their love of making music the old-fashioned way. Visit for an hour or two or bring a picnic lunch and spend the day on the mountain. Admission includes a trip to the Burritt Mansion and/or hiking our trails. Wire wrapping in jewelry can be found in a wide variety of techniques. In this 3 hour class, you will gain an introduction to my technique that is perfect for any skill level.
Muscadines are native to the southeastern US, full of flavor, and make a beautiful jelly. Participants will work in groups of 3 and will each take away 3 jars of homemade muscadine jelly.

Make your own egg basket from kudzu vines! Using whole and split kudzu vines and bark, students will weave their own unique kudzu basket. Beginners welcome!
In this beginner level brush lettering class students will learn everything they need to know to get started with brush lettering. Students will go home with their starter kits including workbook, markers, and more!
The term ugly jugs was first used in the early 1900’s. Styles of face jugs range from realistic to highly fantastical. In this class you’ll be provided with a basic wheel-thrown jug or mug (your choice) to decorate using hand-building techniques to create a face that is uniquely yours!
Students will combine wire and beading skills to design and make a custom ginko cuff bracelet. They will use sterling silver wire, sterling beads and get creative with a wide variety of glass gingko beads to create a unique combination.
This lovely openwork, stained glass flower will keep summer blooming throughout the year. This weekday class is a perfect introduction for those who are new to working in stained glass. All materials, tools and a choice of glass colors will be provided.
