Floor Coverings are taken for granted today, but we can learn to appreciate our modern carpeted and tiled floors by taking a look at what people put on their floors in the 1800s, and how they made them! In a tour of the historic park we will talk about what people used to cover their floors, how that is different from what we use today, and why. Students will finish by designing and painting a placemat-sized floorcloth. For more information on Home School events, please click below!
