    With our heart for hospitality at Burritt, we want to share our beautiful space on the Mountain and offer a safe place of outdoor respite, fresh air, hiking trails, barnyard animals, amazing view for all those working tirelessly to help us safely reach the other side.   Hospitality Industry Week – Tuesday, August 11th through Sunday, August 16th. Burritt will be FREE of charge to our friends in the Hospitality Industry. Examples…Hotels, Restaurants, Attractions, etc…   FREE admission is for the qualified employee and 1 guest. Entry is FREE, but a Reservation is required.

    Oompah-Calypse

    Oompah-Calypse Oktoberfest Band performs a wide variety traditional German music like polkas, waltzes, as well as other surprises, including show tunes, The Beatles, and audience participation favorites. The band performs monthly at Huntsville’s Schnitzel Ranch restaurant and throughout the Tennessee Valley during the Oktoberfest season. Past performances include Campus 805, and Straight to Ale in Huntsville, Brät Brot and Cahaba Brewing Company in Birmingham, “Tuskaloosa Oktoberfest” in Tuscaloosa, and the Oktoberfest Heritage Festival in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Hildegards German Wagon & Suzy’s Pops will be onsite with food for purchase. All Ticket Sales End the Day of Concert at 4pm.

    Kaleidoscope Concert Date Moved NEW DATE: Thursday, August 20th As of today rain is almost certain for tomorrow, Thursday, July 30th. Although at concert hour chances are reduced, there are many preparations that happen throughout the day, the biggest being the sound system set up and band rehearsal. Due to social distancing regulations, we are unable to move the concert inside Baron Bluff. The GOOD NEWS is that Burritt had a date open in August, so we have decided to move the Kaleidoscope concert to Thursday, August 20th.

    One of America’s favorite authors ended the year and a long-standing gig with a national shout-out to one of Huntsville’s favorite bands: Microwave Dave & the Nukes. Stephen King, of “The Shining” and “The Stand” fame, capped a seven-year streak of columns on pop culture in the magazine Entertainment Weekly with a few things he’d still like to praise. “I want to beg you to go to YouTube and check out Microwave Dave & the Nukes,” King wrote, “blasting ‘Highway 49’ at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Huntsville, Ala.

    The Flashbacks have been recognized by The Alabama Music Hall Of Fame with a Musical Achievement award. With quality musicians, excellent vocals, and professional showmanship, The Flashbacks dazzle audiences with their great dance moves and many choreographed routines. Performing a wide spectrum of music from early Motown to Rock-n-Roll and Pop to R&B and Soul, they have been likened to such performers as the “Temptations” and “Kool and the Gang”.
