Volunteer Opportunities

Hello all.  Burritt on the Mountain is gearing up for Spring and Summer.  We are implementing a new volunteer application and sign-up program, and we will send out information about that in the next few weeks.  Until then, email me if you are interested in volunteering.  I will put your name down and plug you in when the new database is here. ~ Spring Camp Counselors –  March 16-20, 8:30 am – 2:30 pm and/or 1 – 5:30 pm.  Choose a few shifts or the whole week! Join in the fun and assist children with games, hikes, crafts and more.

~ Cocktails at the View – Every Wednesday 4:30pm – 7:30pm – April – October – Greeters will assist welcome guests and show them to their seats.

~ Spring Farm Days Field Trip – Thursday, April 16, multiple shifts 8 am – 2 pm. Volunteers will assist the Education Department presenting an 1800’s skill or activity to field trip children.

~ Spring Farm Days Field Trip – Friday, April 17, multiple shifts 8 am – 2 pm. Volunteers will assist the Education Department presenting an 1800’s skill or activity to field trip children.

~ Spring Farm Day – Saturday, April 18, 9:30 am – 1 pm and/or 12:30 – 4 pm. Volunteers will have fun presenting an 1800’s skill or activity to families.

~ Easter Jubilee – Saturday, April 4, 10 am – 3 pm. Join us for an Easter adventure like no other, handing out candy and toy filled eggs, operating the gem mining sluice and assisting with arts and crafts.

~ City Lights & Stars Summer Concert Series Volunteers will assist with greeting/seating and serving guests and making everyone feel welcomed. Bonus! Be our guest and bring your outdoor chair and stay and listen after your volunteer shift is over.

Summer Day Camp Counselors – Monday thru Friday Be part of the fun as we enhance lives through our educational events. Volunteers will enjoy new experiences and meet new people, while having fun in a historic and family-friendly atmosphere. Camp Counselors assist kids in grades K-5 with crafts, games, hikes and more. Counselors should be at least 14 years old; adults or teens are welcome. 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and/or 1:30 to 5:30 PM.
