Pre-K Pioneers: Artsy Start: Building Blocks of Art

Tuesdays, October 14 – November 18 | 9:30–11am

This fall, creativity takes center stage with Pre-K Pioneers: Artsy Start – Building Blocks of Art, an imaginative early education series at Burritt on the Mountain. Designed for one adult and one or more children who are four years old by October 14 and not attending kindergarten, each 90-minute session introduces preschoolers to the fundamentals of visual art through engaging, hands-on exploration.

Over the course of six weeks, we’ll create line sculptures that twist and rise from the page, use bold geometric shapes to design Mondrian-inspired animals, gather leaves and veggies for nature printmaking, experiment with color mixing while painting the alphabet, explore how different materials feel as we craft textured animals, and wrap up with vibrant pumpkins that show how colors can change when we add a little light or shadow.

Each week encourages curiosity, confidence, and collaboration while supporting fine motor, cognitive, and language development. Children will also take home a unique art project each week to showcase their creativity.

Space is limited—join us for a colorful season of exploration, imagination, and artistic fun!

Take advantage of our early-bird discount by purchasing all 6 weeks prior to October 5th. Individual classes will be available starting October 5th, if space remains.
