Burritt on the Mountain is excited to partner with The North Alabama Zoological Society (NALZS) and Beth Girard, a retired natural resource educator and Tennessee Naturalist Program Volunteer, for our Reptile Day this year. NALZS will bring their reptile ambassadors Apollo, the king snake, Million, an African Pygmy hedgehog, Twickenham, a Sulcata tortoise, and Squirtle a yellow-bellied slider turtle. Beth Girard will bring her menagerie of reptiles, including a legless lizard, a blue-tongue skink, a terrestrial non-tortoise turtle, and an aquatic turtle. Burritt will also introduce you to our education Snake Ambassador SAL.
Bring a picnic and enjoy eating lunch on the mountain, or enjoy ice cream from Maggie Moo’s from 11:00 am-3:00 pm.
Seating for all presentations is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Regular Burritt admission rates apply, or admission is free to Burritt members.
