Red, White & Tunes with HSO July 6-10, 2026 Get ready for a star‑spangled music adventure! Campers will celebrate America’s 250th birthday while learning to play the fiddle with the Huntsville Symphony School’s talented instructors. Throughout the week, kids enjoy violin lessons and travel back in time to discover what life was like for children during the founding era. They’ll enjoy Burritt’s classic mix of hands‑on crafts, engaging activities, and outdoor play.

Round Top Bushcraft & Survival Camp 9:00–12:00 July 6th – 10th Burritt on the Mountain is excited to announce that this summer we will be offering two half-day camps the weeks of June 22nd– 26th and July 6th-10th for Middle School students. Round Top Bushcraft & Survival camp will be offered each morning from 9:00 to noon and Mountain Top Makers will be offered each afternoon from 1:00-4:00. Both camps offer immersive, hands-on experiences that are engaging, exciting and exceptional. Campers will learn new skills by doing.

As campers explore Burritt’s trails, farm areas, and outdoor spaces, they will follow a nature-themed storyline that encourages them to observe animal tracks, habitats, and behaviors. |

Jurassic Explorers Camp July 20-24, 2026 Can you tell whether this tail bone comes from a T. rex or a Stegosaurus? Where do fossils come from? Just how big is a Velociraptor? Curiosity is at its peak—and it’s the perfect time for Jurassic Explorers! Burritt invites your young paleontologist to a dinosaur-themed adventure packed with hands-on science and imaginative play. Campers will use microscopes to explore cells, dig for “dinosaur bones,” create an erupting volcano, investigate “dinosaur eggs,” and hike the trail in search of limestone “pancakes,” fossils, and other natural treasures.

Intermediate Sewing Camp July 20–24 • 8:30–3:30 This summer, young makers can discover the world of sewing with award winning textile artist Tiavalya Befecadu! Whether your child is brand new to sewing or ready to take their skills to the next level, these two camps are designed to build confidence, spark creativity, and encourage hands on learning in a fun, supportive environment. With a small class size (1 teacher for every 5 students), every camper gets plenty of personal attention as they learn, explore, and create. |

Campers become junior naturalists for a week packed with scales, wings, webs, and hands-on discovery. Campers dig into the science behind how reptiles and insects survive—investigating exoskeletons, camouflage, silk‑spinning, and more. A live animal menagerie brings the learning to life, giving every child a front‑row seat to real reptiles and other fascinating creepy crawlies in action. |
