Round Top Folk Festival 2025 – November 7th & 8th
Burritt on the Mountain is thrilled to once again host our 5th annual fall festival — Round Top Folk Festival! We are excited to hold an event that meets our mission of education, preservation and recreation so well. This is a wonderful opportunity for traditional skills, arts and crafts to be shared and preserved. We invite you to participate as an artisan vendor or demonstrator.
Round Top Folk Festival Field Trip Day
Friday, November 7th from 8:30 to 2:00
On Friday of the Festival weekend Burritt on the Mountain offers field trips for students grades K – 12. Field trip groups arrive at 9:00am and depart at 1:30pm. Approximately 25 classes rotate through the various presenters’ stations for a 10 to 12 minute demonstration at each station. This is a fun and busy day that teaches local schoolchildren about traditional arts and how their ancestors lived.
Round Top Folk Festival Public Day
Saturday, November 8th from 10:00 to 4:00
For Members and the general public, we spotlight traditional artisans and craftspeople in the historic park and throughout the grounds. Participating presenters and artisans are encouraged to engage with visitors, demonstrate their craft or skill and sell their handiwork.
All Artist applications will be reviewed and considered for acceptance. Acceptance will also consider factors such as the overlap with other Artists’ works and the relationship to traditional or folk arts. We have a rolling admissions policy with acceptance beginning in May and rolling through September 27th.
Artists may select to participate, Friday only, Saturday only or both days. Preference will be given to those who are presenting both days and/or are presenting a unique skill.
We will include vendors that fall under the Alabama Cottage Food Law and respective foods that can be sold directly to the consumer.
Before applying, review the Rules, Terms and Conditions for the Round Top Folk Festival, and the Festival Waiver, Indemnification and Release of Liability.
