This class will focus on several basic forging fundamentals. Using the forge, anvil, and basic hand tools and techniques, students will forge a spatula, and a steak turner.

Come and spend some time with us learning how to play the bodhran (Irish traditional frame drum). This class will teach you how to hold the drum, how to hold the tipper (drum stick), and how to play some simple rhythmic patterns. No experience necessary.

Easter Jubilee 2026 at Burritt on the Mountain Saturday April 4, 2026, 11am-3pm Super egg-citing Adventures await at Burritt on the Mountain’s annual Easter Jubilee! Grab your Easter basket and join us on Saturday, April 4th, from 11am to 3pm. Collect eggs and treats from our frontier friends, pan for gems at our sluice, meet our barnyard animals and make some Easter crafts to take home. Don’t want the fun to end? Spring Farm Day 2026 April 18th | 10am – 4pm Join us for a taste of springtime on the farm Saturday, April 18th 10am-4pm. Visit our barnyard animals, experience historic skills, and learn about life on the farm during the 1800s. Visitors will be fascinated by the sheep-shearing and blacksmithing demonstrations. Learn how to card and wash wool, observe wool being spun into yarn, create an animal mask, and play with old-fashioned toys.

Set on Burritt’s beautiful grounds, this camp invites children to slow down, look closely, and connect with the natural world through a story-based mystery woven throughout the week. As campers explore Burritt’s trails, farm areas, and outdoor spaces, they will follow a nature-themed storyline that encourages them to observe animal tracks, habitats, and behaviors.

Jurassic Explorers June 8-12, 2026 Can you tell whether this tail bone comes from a T. rex or a Stegosaurus? Where do fossils come from? Just how big is a Velociraptor? Curiosity is at its peak—and it’s the perfect time for Jurassic Explorers! Burritt invites your young paleontologist to a dinosaur-themed adventure packed with hands-on science and imaginative play. Campers will use microscopes to explore cells, dig for “dinosaur bones,” create an erupting volcano, investigate “dinosaur eggs,” and hike the trail in search of limestone “pancakes,” fossils, and other natural treasures.

Whether your child is brand new to sewing or ready to take their skills to the next level, these two camps are designed to build confidence, spark creativity, and encourage hands on learning in a fun, supportive environment. With a small class size (1 teacher for every 5 students), every camper gets plenty of personal attention as they learn, explore, and create.

Concert begins at 7:00 pm. Stanley Dan is a nine-member Steely Dan tribute band that also plays songs by Sade, Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, and other soulful artists. A premier show band, two excellent lead singers, Daniel Newton and Sharla Bell, are supported by dynamic horns and tight rhythm section. America the Beautiful Camp June 15th-18th
America the Beautiful June 15-18, 2026 Celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation with a four-day camp designed to spark curiosity and exploration. Campers will “journey” through America’s National Parks and iconic landscapes while learning about the people and places that shaped our country. We will learn about the President who started our National Parks service and the Buffalo Soldiers who were some of our first park rangers. Campers will also experience daily life as it might have been for children during the founding era of our country through interactive activities, historical games, and creative projects.

Webs, Wings, and Scaly Things June 22-26, 2026 We invite young, brave scientists to step into the hidden world of creatures that crawl, slither, flutter, and spin. Campers become junior naturalists for a week packed with scales, wings, webs, and hands-on discovery. Campers dig into the science behind how reptiles and insects survive—investigating exoskeletons, camouflage, silk‑spinning, and more. A live animal menagerie brings the learning to life, giving every child a front‑row seat to real reptiles and other fascinating creepy crawlies in action.
