Spring Farm Day
Saturday April 5th | 10am-4pm
Join us for a taste of springtime on the farm on. Visit our barnyard animals, experience historic skills, and learn about life on the farm during the 1800s. Visitors will be fascinated by the sheep shearing and blacksmithing demonstrations. Come observe wool being spun into yarn, play with old-fashioned toys, and milk our faux cow, Boxy. You will leave with a new appreciation for modern conveniences after trying historic tasks such as rug beating, butter churning, and mattress stuffing! Listen to musicians throughout the park play traditional instruments as they share music enjoyed during our Alabama beginnings. Families can also try Backpack Explorers which features activities for children ages 4-12 and allows families to explore Burritt’s nature trails, our Historic Park with barnyard animals, and Dr. Burritt’s marvelous mansion.
