Volunteer Recognition

Congratulations to Burritt’s May Volunteer of the Month, Ann Harris!  Ann volunteers in many areas at Burritt including Josie’s Gift Shop, Special Events and Membership and shows true heartfelt hospitality to the visitors.  Leah Jenkins, Store Manager, says “Ann has been a wonderful addition to the Josie’s team since the first time she volunteered.  She has such a kind, cheerful way with guests, and her sense of humor puts people at ease. With all her other volunteer work at Burritt, she can answer most any question we get!” You can also see Ann jumping in wherever needed at our special events. Ann expressed “Because of my love for history, the outdoors and architecture, I knew Burritt was the perfect place to contribute my time. I love everything Burritt has to offer the area. From the children that come to visit on Field Trips to the gorgeous weddings held on the grounds, Burritt offers something for everyone. The most rewarding aspect of volunteering at Burritt is seeing the families that come through the gift shop and how happy they are to spend time at Burritt.”

We cannot thank Ann and her husband, Ken, enough for the time they share at Burritt and for being such great supporters and members. Thank you, Ann, for sharing your love of Burritt with the visitors and the Huntsville Community.  We appreciate you!
