This class is perfect for anyone who loves crafting, decorating, or simply wants to add a personal, nature-inspired touch to their holiday décor. You’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to build your own mailbox decoration at home—just in time for the season!
Instructor: Beth Phillips says “I weave lighting, sculptures and basketry using whole and split Kudzu vines. I also make paper from the leaves, and I recently learned the ancient process of extracting the fiber from the vines to weave cloth and am excitedly pursuing that side of creating with kudzu at present. I regularly forage materials from nature to include in my artwork and botanical arrangements. Images and examples of my more recent work can be seen on my social media pages on FB and IG @kudzumama. With the invasive nature of kudzu such an environmental and ecological issue in the South, I love the opportunity to share all the wonderful uses and products that can be derived from such a maligned vine.”
Supplies and Attire: All materials and supplies will be provided.
Time: Saturday, November 15th, 1:00pm-3:00pm
Tuition: $80.00
