Spring Farm Day
Saturday April 13th | 10am-4pm
Join us for a taste of springtime on the farm. Visit our barnyard animals, experience historic skills, and learn about life on the farm during the 1800’s. Visitors will be fascinated by the sheep-shearing and blacksmithing demonstrations. Come observe wool being spun into yarn, milk our faux cow – Boxy, see our sheep be sheared, and play with old-fashioned toys. You will leave with a new appreciation for modern conveniences after trying historic tasks such as rug beating, butter churning, and mattress stuffing! Listen to musicians throughout the park play traditional instruments and music enjoyed during our Alabama beginnings. Families also can experience our Blast in the Past activities and scavenger hunt in the park, visit the mansion, or hike the trail.
Regular Burritt admissions rates apply, and this event is free to Burritt Members.
