Spring Farm Day 2026
April 18th | 10am – 4pm
Join us for a taste of springtime on the farm Saturday, April 18th 10am-4pm. Visit our barnyard animals, experience historic skills, and learn about life on the farm during the 1800s. Visitors will be fascinated by the sheep-shearing and blacksmithing demonstrations. Learn how to card and wash wool, observe wool being spun into yarn, create an animal mask, and play with old-fashioned toys.
You will leave with a new appreciation for modern conveniences after trying historic tasks such as rug beating, butter churning, and mattress stuffing! Listen to musicians throughout the park play traditional instruments and music enjoyed during our Alabama beginnings.
Families can also participate in Burritt’s We the People activities for children ages 4-12 and learn about the original families that lived in our historic homes.
Regular Burritt admissions rates apply, and this event is free to Burritt Members.
