Title: Textile Arts: “Telling a Story with String”
Description: I love to look out and see how the landscape of nature tells a story. Using fibers such yarn, macrame string, beads and feathers we will create a wall tapestry personal to our own view of nature and the wonderful draw of it so even on the gloomiest days, you can see a bit of sunshine and hope!
Instructor: Hallie Bradley is a local fiber artist and creator/owner of The Abbey Arts and Imagination. She has many years of experience creating within a variety of fiber arts disciplines including knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. In addition to her passion for creating with yarn and thread, she has an extensive background in theatrical arts and art education. Hallie has taught workshops and led camps at multiple venues across the southeast and has a passion for teaching and providing space for people to create. She believes that everyone should have the chance to tell or make their own story, whether it be through art, theatre or knitting a cozy sweater. “Fiber Art is an incredible and practical art form that everyone should try at least once, from weaving to knitting and stunning embroidery, you can make everyday objects, magical.”
