Who made them, the fabric that was used, and who it might have been made for are all part of the story. Whatever the story, quilts are an amazing piece of art; they are beautiful and a testament to the handwork and skill of the quilter.
Blast in the Past - Fun for the whole family! March 9th – Sep 2nd Immerse yourself in the past with our exciting new event, Blast in the Past! From March 9th through Labor Day, join us with fun activities perfect for the whole family. Designed for families with children ages 3 to 12 years old, Blast in the Past offers engaging hands-on experiences that provide a glimpse into the lives of early Alabamians.
Join us Every Wednesday 5-8pm April through October. Watch the sun go down and enjoy a cocktail on our elevated Overlook. You bring your friends, we provide The View. Gorgeous sunsets and the best view of Huntsville returns this April. Cocktails at The View is held every Wednesday evening April through October, rain or shine. We offer a cash/credit full bar. We encourage you to pre-order appetizers on-line. Ride with a friend and carpool to help with parking, especially on beautifully gorgeous evenings. In the event of rain, Cocktails on the View will be held in the Pavilion.

2024 marks the 31st Season of the City Lights & Stars Concert Series at Burritt on the Mountain, and we have 8 concerts to celebrate! The band combines the musical influences of the Latin American and southern Louisiana regions that the brothers grew up visiting throughout their childhood. Mambo Gris Gris plays an eclectic mix of Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Latin folk Songs and Zydeco. Bring your chair, blanket and picnic to enjoy the evening. Food trucks will be onsite with food & dessert available for purchase. Beer and Wine available for purchase. Absolutely no outside alcohol please.
