In this four week class students will build on skills to make bigger and better bowls, mugs with handles, and other forms. This class is also a good refresher if it has been a while since you've used a potter's wheel. Beginners are also welcome.
Celebrate Huntsville Music Month! Music on the Mountain Sunday, September 15th 12:30pm – 4:30pm Enjoy some old-time favorites as you wander through our Historic Park and listen to musicians share their love of making music the old-fashioned way. Visit for an hour or two or bring a picnic lunch and spend the day on the mountain. Admission includes a trip to the Burritt Mansion and/or hiking our trails. Using fibers such yarn, macrame string, beads and feathers we will create a wall tapestry personal to our own view of nature!
2024 marks the 31st Season of the City Lights & Stars Concert Series at Burritt on the Mountain, and we have 8 concerts to celebrate! Calling Huntsville “Hometown”, Huntsville’s In the Mood is an exciting 21 piece big band. Specializing in swing and jazz making every occasion an exciting event. Influences include Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Henry Mancini, Cole Porter Bobby Darrin, Ella Fitzgerald and Count Basie. Bring your chair, blanket and picnic to enjoy the evening. Food trucks will be onsite with food & dessert available for purchase. Beer and Wine available for purchase.
