Students in the three hour Artisan Pasta class will master old world pasta-making techniques. We will start by making two classic pasta doughs—semolina and egg. While the dough rests, we will be making a traditional ragu that will continue to simmer throughout the class.
In this 3 hour class, you will gain an introduction that is perfect for any skill level. Students will learn about wire quality, hardness, and how to use specific tools for specific purposes and make a beautiful bracelet.
In this intermediate, two day workshop students will make a trio of 3d hearts and suspend them from a hanging bar with overlaid glass. An assortment of glass colors will be available.
In this workshop you'll make a personalized ceramic mug using basic hand-building techniques. From adding texture, shaping, or other embellishments to putting a face on it, the mug you make will be uniquely yours.

Laissez le Bons Temps Rouler! Mardi Gras Dinner February 21, 2023 | 6:00pm Let’s celebrate Mardi Gras! The evening begins with New Orleans themed appetizers and lively jazz music by the Bourbon Street Stompers to kick off a fun time. The delicious gourmet sit down Cajun Dinner includes specialty wine. Burritt on the Mountain in collaboration with Huntsville Traditional Music Association are happy to announce the return of the Coffeehouse Series bringing monthly Coffeehouse Concerts back to the Old Country, freeing us from weather concerns and allowing a longer season. The Grasstronaughts will bring their talent to the February coffeehouse stage on Tuesday, February 28th.
A day of Open Hearth Cooking, Blacksmithing and Fires Burning throughout the Historic Park! You won’t want to miss Burritt’s Fire on the Mountain on Saturday, March 4th, from 10:00 – 3:00. Our historic cooks will transport you back to the 1800s as you see, hear, and smell their work as they prepare historic recipes over our open fires and cast-iron cook stove. In addition, our blacksmiths will be firing up the forges throughout the historic park to demonstrate this fascinating skill.
